I noticed that a refined gem on the Washing Pole lowers the AR base by 30 and only increases the str scaling from a D to a C. Is that small stat bump even worth dropping the base damage for on a quality build? The dual Katanas also have a similar issue. Refined gem lowers the base damage, but the scaling stays a C for str and Dex.

Missing a talisman slot is such a disadvantage. I could see past this issue if it could be obtained in new game plus, although I certainly don't want to be the one to find out you can't.
